Concept for Development of Personnel Management in a Company

This master’s thesis “Development of HR management in the company” analyses a way of a management of human resources in a middle sized company, which produces and distributes fibreglass. The goal is to identify a current status and propose corrective measures, which will lead to the improvement in human resource area. By that, company should improve their efficiency, economy and future growth.

The final thesis deals with human resources, which is one of the basic management functions. Knowledge of the basic managerial functions is an important prerequisite for high-quality managerial skills of a kindergarten principal. It is important to point out that the kindergarten management is currently much more responsible for running of the kindergarten than in the past. The thesis involves an analysis of the current status of the selected HR activities - recruitment, adaptation of employees and thier assessment, training and development. It aims to describe the personal risks for a kindergarten principal and it proposes changes for improvement. The main method selected for achieving the set objectives is to survey kindergarten managers. Additional technique is an interview. The first part of this thesis focuses on theoretical knowledge in the field of HR at two different levels - basic ine and one that focuses on education. The second, practical part, analyses the process of selected HR activities,describes possible HR risks and summarizes research problem, including proposed changes for improvement.

Survey of the validity of the methods of employee selection

The Diploma thesis "Survey of the Validity of the Methods of Employee Selection" deals with analysis of methods validity that is used for the company employees'selection. On the basis of literature studied, author identifies following keywords related to the subject of the diploma thesis: Human Resources Management, Vision, Business strategy, HR strategy, Human Resources planning, Employees' selection and recruitment, Fluctuation and Evaluation of Work performance. Author further focuses on the research of validity of personal selection methods that have already been published earlier. Author performed particular research solution that took place in three phases. The first stage explored an optimal mix of selection methods for recruitment according to particular positions. Respondents were experts specializing on issues of Human Resources issues. The second phase focused on research of validity of personal selection methods. Validity of selection methods was examined by correlation coefficient between predicted work performance estimated by the given method, and the measured real work performance of the recruited employee in the evaluation system of the work performance. Human resources management in a medium-sized company

The purpose of the diploma thesis is the analysis of the human resource management in the selected medium-sized company and on the basis of the acquired results suggest the arrangements for improvement of this system. For research purposes of the thesis was selected a midsize company MOTOR JIKOV Fostron plc, operating in the engineering and foundry industries. The thesis is divided into literary and analytical part. Literary part is based on information related to the management of human resources, characteristics of midsize enterprises, personnel work and personal activities within midsize companies and it is based on domestic and foreign literary sources. The analytical part deals with analysis of selected personnel activities in the company MOTOR JIKOV Fostron plc and proposing more effective function in these areas. The obtained information allow to suggest the arrangements for improvement of this system.

The formulation of HR strategy and setting up of HR system in the organization (business accelerator of VSE - xPORT)

The master's thesis is about the formulation of human resources strategy and setting up of HR system in the newly established organization. The theoretical part is focused on analysing impact and influence of organization' s HR; defines basic principles of strategic HR management based on corporate culture, leadership, talent management and the structure. Following part describes basic principles of functional HR system as well as the competencies of HR professionals. Then it provides action plan of establishing HR system. The practical part of the thesis introduces business accelerator of University of Economics in Prague xPORT VSE and analysis both premises and needs of HR' s customers. The thesis suggests personal strategy and HR system based on theoretical findings and analysing stakeholders' needs.
Managing and measuring of HR department´s contribution to the business targets

This thesis focuses on Human Resources in a company, it' s strategic managing and measuring it's contribution to the business. In theoretical part the main source is foreign literature and it analyses traditional and new conceptions of HR. It focuses on a role of HR director, as a main element of strategic level of HR and his/her role in a relation to the rest of a company and HR department. In practical part the thesis analyses a research, made among Czech companies, and comes into a conclusion, that the main cause of an unsatisfactory HR management in these companies is it's poor measurability. In the final, key part of the thesis it designs a process, which a company should follow in order to adopt a strategic HR and it's measurement by goals of a company.
System of Human Resource Management in Small Companies

The purpose of the diploma thesis is the analysis of the human resource management (HRM) in the selected small companies. On the basis of the acquired results suggest the arrangements for improvement of this system. In order to conduct the research, more small companies were addressed. Only three entities were willing to provide the information. The company specialized in the sale of sport goods, the agricultural company and the centre for social services were participated in the research. All three companies have their seat in the South Bohemia. The thesis is divided into theoretical and analytical part. Theoretical part provides information about HRM issue in small companies, basic terms concerning HRM and definition of small companies including their role in the economic system are mentioned. In the analytical part there are briefly introduced the selected companies, the characteristics of the personal activities is presented and the questionnaires with important outcomes are propounded. The obtained information allow to suggest the arrangements for improvement of this system.
Talent Management in business practice

The dissertation is focused in detail on the topic of Talent Management - talent management in the corporate practice. The aim of the dissertation is to verify that the general trends of the current talent management are applied in the business (corporate) practice. The core of the initial part is the analysis of available resources to the topic of current talent management (vocational studies, outcomes of professional conferences, newspaper articles, publications and statements of respondents). The authentication part is based on a research study in the region of the former district Klatovy. The conclusion is divided into several sub-outcomes - recommendations for the respondents, including proposed timetable for implementation, a summary of the best practices in talent management, a description of talent management specification observed according to the focus and the company size, and also the indication of the possible pitfalls of talent management.
